Radio Australia – ‘In the Loop’ Interview with Tubuans & Dukduks

My Interview with Radio Australia

There has been a tremendous amount of publicity and discussion online about my article French Firm Poaches & Patents PNG’s “Bilum”. That discussion climaxed last week Thursday with Radio Australia’s In the Loop hosts Clement Paligaru and Isabelle Genoux interviewing me about the article.

And I have to say, I felt exactly like fellow PNG blogger Emmanuel Narokobi when I was waiting for the phone to ring – extremely nervous! As the interview progressed the discussion began to flow and I do think it turned out ok. I haven’t had a chance to listen to the interview yet – so let me know what you think.

As you will hear for yourself, there were a number of ideas that were discussed including the concept of having a regular “blogging segment” included as a part of In the Loop where views from the Pacific Blogosphere will be shared. I quite like the idea and I think it will be a success – particularly when many of our people now have the ability to access the Internet.

  1. hey T, am having problems listening to your interview. Says that the file cannot be found or something. Have email ‘In the Loop’ so hopefully I can get an answer soon.

But sounds like good work in terms of cross media efforts with web and radio.

  2. Emmanuel, now that you point it out, I can’t access it either! Hmmmm, I’ll send them an email too. I wonder how I sound on the Web? Ha!

  3. Hey T, congrats! way to go. Issues of national concern/interest need to reach the wider public and I am glad “In the Loop” picked up on that. Good work.
