Looks like a great show ... wish I could be there. I was really hoping to go to the Expo this year, but finances won't allow. It's a long journey from Canada ... maybe next year! Hope the event continues in the years to come.

Hi Walt,

Yes, it is Motu. Tatana Village is located about 4km from Port Morsesby - the people are predominantly Motuan but a few Koitabu because of intermarriage.

Truth is a double edged sword and one that needs to be wielded with precision, timing and caution but above all, with compassion and integrity. A skill that I have been known to lack from time to time. But there is hope! Highlands living has become my teacher in the subtle art and almost a science of human interaction.

Ok folks, so I haven't actually said my opinion on this topic - from a purely economic point of view, why have the death penalty if you're not going to use it? We've had it since 1954 and it hasn't been used once (so they say - it has been used pre-Independence but that is an issue that Australia doesn't want to remind everybody of). Yes yes, sure it's against human rights etc., but Joe does have a point here - Muslim nations do execute their citizens on a number of issues (e.g. adultery), so why is Amnesty International and Human Rights groups writing to PNG when some countries are actively using the policy as we debate the topic. Indonesia still executes drug traffickers, and South Korea executes corrupt officials. Although, hau mas blo ol raskol save tingting olsem ol noken wokim hold up bikos i bai gat sans we ol ken i kisim dai long han blo lo? Not many if any.

Over to Manu and Solo to answer Joe's comment.

T,

Tip: cut down the length of your articles by a quarter - write twice as many - and would have saved yourself a heap of time!
